2000 - LCA and EPD of bearing steel balls, rollers and cages
In 2000, a first co-operation with EUROBALL (worldwide leader in bearing steel balls manufacturing) was aimed at developing a LCA study of “bearing steel balls”. The activity has been developed at drawing out the Environmental Product Declaration according to the International EPD System. Three plants at European level participated to the project (Italy, Ireland, and Germany). Starting from 2007, the activities have been addressed also to cover rollers and cages produced in The Netherlands.
